Flavio Kälin is a Ph.D. candidate and research associate at the Institute for Customer Insight at the University of St. Gallen (ICI-HSG). Since May 2018, he is part of the research team of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Jenewein and researches in a long-term research cooperation with a leading car manufacturer the increase of customer acceptance for new technologies in the field of e-mobility. His studies focus on the interface of technology acceptance and motivation theories.
Before starting his doctoral studies, Flavio Kälin studied Business Administration for his Bachelor and Business Management for his Master degree at the University of St. Gallen. Parallel to his studies, Flavio Kälin was able to gain practical experience both with classic OEMs and with start-ups in the automotive industry. After his studies, he worked for a leading Swiss consulting firm focusing on digital business building.
