Harvard Business Review (HBR) France and Harvard Business Manager published an article about the research of Prof. Dr. Reto Hofstetter, Dr. Suleiman Aryobsei and Prof. Dr. Andreas Herrmann. The article discusses new findings in the area of crowdsourcing. Many firms nowadays utilize so-called open innovation platforms in order to generate new ideas. However, according to the authors, many companies often put too much weight on likes, comments and similar voting systems. Their research findings show that firms should rather develop new algorithms and similar tools in order to control social relations.
